1. Information We Collect

Azygos collects only the information needed to run the service, secure accounts, sync wellness data, and support the features you choose to use.

  • Account information such as email address, name, date of birth for age confirmation, and optional profile details.
  • Wellness and routine information you provide, including nutrition, workouts, body measurements, sleep, mood, energy, stress, daily rituals, supplements, progress photos, journal entries, and optional cycle-tracking data.
  • Special-category data may include wellness or health-related logs, wearable metrics, cycle data when enabled, progress photos, and lab or document uploads that you choose to submit.
  • Media and document inputs you choose to submit, including voice logs, meal photos, progress photos, lab-result scans, and uploaded documents.
  • Device, app, usage, crash, and diagnostics data used for security, reliability, analytics, and support.
  • Optional connected-source data from Apple Health or Android Health Connect on supported devices, plus other wearable services only where access is configured and verified, when you connect them.

2. Lawful Basis and Consent

We use contract, consent, legitimate interests, and legal-obligation bases depending on the processing purpose. Special-category wellness data is processed with explicit consent where required, including under UK GDPR or EU GDPR Article 9 where applicable.

  • Core account and app operation is processed to perform the service contract.
  • AI features, cycle tracking, marketing messages, wellness reminders, and optional anonymised retention use consent where required.
  • You can withdraw optional consent in app settings where available or by contacting privacy@azygos.app.
  • Crash diagnostics, fraud prevention, rate limiting, and service reliability use legitimate interests with privacy safeguards.
  • Legal, tax, audit, regulator, and statutory requests are handled under legal obligation where applicable.
  • Consent records include policy version, consent date, coarse country or locale, and selected purpose toggles where available.

3. How We Use Information

We use data to provide the product experience and never to build advertising profiles.

  • Service delivery, including dashboards, logging, sync, exports, summaries, and member-controlled sharing.
  • Personalisation of routines, reminders, the Vitality Orb, and user-selected app settings.
  • Account, security, subscription, and support communications.
  • Aggregate, de-identified analytics and service improvement.
  • AI features are assistive and reviewable; Azygos does not use automated decision-making to determine eligibility, pricing, or access.
  • User wellness data is not used to train third-party AI models.
  • We do not sell personal data and do not use wellness data for advertising.

4. Sharing and Sub-processors

We share data only where needed to operate Azygos, under written processor terms where required.

  • Supabase provides database, authentication, and storage infrastructure.
  • Deepgram, Google, Anthropic, and OpenRouter support opt-in AI or transcription features only when the relevant feature is used.
  • RevenueCat, Apple, Google, and Stripe support subscription state, purchase, or professional billing flows.
  • Sentry supports scrubbed crash and error monitoring, and Mixpanel may support product analytics where enabled without health-data profiling.
  • You can withdraw consent for optional analytics or marketing processors where consent is the basis for processing.
  • The public sub-processor summary is available at /sub-processors.

5. International Transfers

Some sub-processors are based in the United States or process data outside the UK. We use appropriate transfer mechanisms and supplementary safeguards.

  • UK IDTA, EU Standard Contractual Clauses, and UK Addendum terms are used where applicable.
  • Transfer risk reviews are maintained for relevant US sub-processors.
  • Supplementary safeguards include TLS in transit, encryption at rest, client-side vault and photo encryption where supported, PII scrubbing, and rate limiting.
  • A redacted transfer-risk summary can be requested via privacy@azygos.app.

6. Security and Retention

Azygos uses layered technical and operational controls, and keeps data only as long as needed for the account, legal duties, or consented retention.

  • Security measures include TLS, encryption at rest, row-level security, role-based staff access, multi-factor authentication, signed URLs, webhook verification, and login rate limiting.
  • Vault entries and progress photos use client-side encryption patterns with per-user device keys where supported.
  • Voice notes are processed transiently and are not retained after transcription unless a feature explicitly says otherwise.
  • Crash diagnostics are normally retained for up to 30 days unless needed longer for security investigation, and backups are overwritten on a rolling schedule of up to 90 days.
  • Waitlist and contact records are normally retained for up to 12 months unless you request deletion sooner or a legal duty requires longer retention.
  • Account deletion removes active account, profile, logs, private files, and photos, with backup deletion normally completing within 90 days.
  • If a personal-data breach occurs, we will notify affected users and supervisory authorities within legally required timelines, including the GDPR 72-hour authority notification window where applicable.

7. Your Privacy Rights

Azygos extends UK GDPR-style privacy controls to users regardless of location where practical.

  • Access, rectification, portability, erasure, restriction, objection, and consent-withdrawal rights are supported in-app where available or through privacy@azygos.app.
  • You can export data, correct logged information, pause optional processing, withdraw consent toggles, or delete your account.
  • We respond to rights requests within one calendar month unless an extension is legally permitted and communicated.
  • UK users may complain to the Information Commissioner at ico.org.uk/make-a-complaint, and EEA users may contact their local supervisory authority.

8. Children, Cookies, and Changes

Azygos is an adult wellness product and keeps tracking technology narrow.

  • You must be 18 or older to use Azygos. If you believe a minor has created an account, contact privacy@azygos.app.
  • The mobile app does not use advertising cookies, advertising identifiers, ad SDKs, or cross-app tracking pixels by default.
  • The website uses strictly necessary storage and may use optional cookieless analytics as described on /cookies.
  • Material privacy changes are versioned, posted with a new date, and communicated before they take effect where required.

Data Subject Rights

Access, correction, export, deletion, restriction, objection, and consent-withdrawal requests can be handled in the app where available or by contacting privacy@azygos.app.

Account Deletion

You can delete your account in the app from Settings > Account > Delete Account. The app removes active profile data, logs, private files, and photos, with backup deletion completing within the documented retention window. You can also use the deletion tab on Support or contact privacy@azygos.app.

Terms of Service

Last Updated: April 5, 2026

1. Acceptance of Terms

By downloading, installing, creating an account, purchasing, accessing, or using Azygos, you agree to these Terms of Service and acknowledge the Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use Azygos.

2. Description of Service

Azygos is a wellness tracking and client-continuity service for daily routines, nutrition, movement, mood, reflection, documents, exports, and member-controlled sharing with selected professionals. Professionals remain responsible for their own client relationships, guidance, local obligations, and review of any draft materials. Azygos is a wellness companion, not a medical device, and does not diagnose, treat, cure, or prevent disease.

3. Eligibility

You must be at least 18 years old to use Azygos. We do not knowingly accept users under 18. If you believe a minor has registered, contact privacy@azygos.app and we will review the account for deletion.

4. User Account

You must provide accurate, current information, keep credentials confidential, use a strong password, and notify us promptly about suspected unauthorized access. One account should be used by one person unless an approved professional or team feature states otherwise.

5. User Responsibilities

You agree to use Azygos lawfully, provide accurate information, avoid misuse, avoid accessing other users data, avoid reverse engineering or scraping the service, avoid uploading malicious code, and avoid unlawful, harassing, or abusive activity.

6. Wellness Notice and Assumption of Risk

Azygos provides general wellness organization, tracking, reflection, and professional-workflow support. Content and AI outputs are informational and may be incomplete or inaccurate. For important health, safety, or personal decisions, consult an appropriate qualified professional. For emergencies, contact local emergency services.

7. Accuracy of Information

You are responsible for the accuracy of data you enter or upload. Food, exercise, routine, document, and third-party integration data may be incomplete, delayed, unavailable, or inaccurate. Review important information before relying on it.

8. Subscriptions, Payments, Cancellation, and Refunds

Pricing, billing cadence, trial length, renewal terms, and post-trial price are displayed before purchase. Consumer Precision subscriptions are billed by Apple App Store or Google Play. Professional Pro subscriptions are web-first business tools and may be billed by Stripe on the provider platform. Payment is charged through the billing channel shown at purchase. You can manage or cancel recurring billing from the account, store, billing, or subscription-management surface tied to the channel you used at purchase. Refund requests are handled through the applicable store, provider, processor, or marketplace policy. UK consumers may have statutory cancellation rights for digital content unless they expressly agree to immediate access and acknowledge loss of that right where applicable. Deleting the app alone does not cancel a paid subscription.

9. Data and Privacy

Your use of Azygos is governed by the Privacy Policy, which is incorporated into these Terms. We do not sell personal data. You can export or delete data through in-app tools or by contacting privacy@azygos.app where support is needed.

10. Intellectual Property and Your Content

Azygos, the app, website, design, logos, and service content are owned by Azygos Ltd or its licensors. We grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use the service. You retain ownership of the data you enter and grant us the rights needed to operate the service and create aggregate, de-identified analytics.

11. Third-Party Integrations

If you connect Apple Health or Android Health Connect on supported devices, or another wearable provider where access is configured and verified, you authorize Azygos to access relevant data as configured by you. Those services have their own terms and policies, and you can disconnect integrations where supported.

12. Modifications to Service and Terms

We may modify, suspend, update, or discontinue features and may update these Terms with notice where required. Continued use after changes take effect constitutes acceptance. You may stop using Azygos and delete your account if you disagree with changes.

13. Termination

You may delete your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms, present security risk, misuse the service, or where we must comply with law. Rights and obligations that by nature should survive termination remain in effect.

14. Disclaimers

Azygos is provided on an as-is and as-available basis to the maximum extent permitted by law. We do not guarantee uninterrupted service, error-free operation, data completeness, third-party availability, or specific outcomes.

15. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Azygos Ltd is not liable for indirect, incidental, consequential, special, exemplary, or punitive damages, loss of profits, loss of revenue, loss of business, loss of data, or losses caused by unauthorized account access or third-party services. Nothing limits liability that cannot be limited by law.

16. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold Azygos Ltd harmless from claims arising from your misuse of the service, violation of these Terms, violation of law, violation of third-party rights, or content you submit.

17. Dispute Resolution and Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Before starting formal proceedings, contact legal@azygos.app so we can try to resolve the dispute informally within 30 days. The courts of England and Wales have jurisdiction, except where mandatory consumer law provides otherwise.

18. General Provisions

These Terms and the Privacy Policy form the entire agreement for use of Azygos. If a provision is invalid, the remainder stays in effect. Failure to enforce a right is not a waiver. We may assign these Terms as part of a corporate transaction or legal restructuring; you may not assign them without consent. We are not liable for failures caused by events outside our reasonable control.

19. Apple App Store Terms

If you downloaded Azygos from the Apple App Store, these Terms are between you and Azygos Ltd, not Apple. Apple has no support obligation for Azygos, you must comply with Apple terms and policies, and Apple may be a third-party beneficiary of these Terms where required by App Store rules.

20. Updates to Terms

We post updates with a new Last Updated date, communicate material changes where required, and may request renewed agreement or consent where required. Continued use after an update takes effect means you accept the updated Terms.

21. Contact Information

Accessibility Statement

Last Updated: April 28, 2026

Scope and Target

This statement applies to the Azygos mobile application on iOS and Android and the Azygos web dashboard at https://azygos.app. We aim to conform to WCAG 2.1 AA and EN 301 549 where applicable. The current self-assessed status is partially conformant while remaining accessibility polish continues; a formal VPAT has not yet been published.

Measures Taken

We use labelled controls, accessible navigation, 44 by 44 point target sizing where applicable, decorative-icon hiding, accessibility values for controls such as sliders and the Vitality Orb, Dynamic Type and Reduce Motion support, contrast checks, voice and typed-text parity for conversational surfaces, and accessibility regression checks.

Known Limitations

Known limitations include ongoing token-discipline migration for some hard-coded font sizes, long-tail accessibility hint coverage, and a small number of inline handlers being migrated to stable references. These are tracked as accessibility bugs and roadmap items, and a criterion-by-criterion conformance report is planned before enterprise procurement use.

Feedback and Enforcement

Send accessibility feedback to legal@azygos.app or by post to Azygos Ltd, 167-169 Great Portland Street, London W1W 5PF, United Kingdom. Include the screen, device, operating system, assistive technology, and what happened. We aim to acknowledge feedback within 2 business days, escalate critical access blockers within 24 hours, and provide a substantive response within 20 business days. UK users may contact EASS or the Equality and Human Rights Commission if unsatisfied, and EEA users may contact the relevant national accessibility enforcement authority.
